Royal Doulton Flambe Elephant with trunk in salute. This distinctive rich, deep-red glaze slashed with streaks of purple and turquoise was used to decorate pottery, the method was first discovered by the ancient Chinese of the Ming dynasty, probably during the reign of Wan-li (1573-1620). Approximately 5" (13 cm) high x 6" (15.5 cm) long x 3½" (9 cm) wide.
